Hi guys! I hope you had an amazing New Year celebration last weekend! Today I have another exciting review of an all-natural, local, skin-body-hair care brand, The Bath Box. I ordered a handful of their products and I've been trying them out for about three weeks, so let’s jump on the reviews, shall we? RAPESEED SERUM (30 ML Rp 249.000,-)
What it’s for: brighten and glow up dull skin
What it’s made of: rapeseed oil, flower waters
How I apply it: right after I wash my face, I apply two pumps of this serum on to slightly wet/damp skin and neck, because our skin absorbs products better when it’s wet. I apply this product in circular motion until the it is spread evenly.
Result: skin feels immediately softer to touch, and the texture is also visibly smoother! Oh, I think it’s also worth noting that this serum—also the other products that I ordered—have an herbal-y scent. It’s not a bad scent by all means, it’s just kind of strong. After a while you do get used to it, so don’t worry. That scent only shows you how natural and fresh their products are!
I’LL BE PERFECT REBALANCING OIL 20 ML Rp 199.000,-
What it’s for: balancing out oily-combination skin (my skin type!), clear up blemished and acne prone skin, tighten large pores, brighten complexion.
What it’s made of: pumpkin seed oil, karanja seed oil and evening primrose oil, linoleic acid and argan oil, jojoba seed, rosemary, geranium, tea tree and peppermint essential oil
How I use it: I apply two to three drops of the oil right after the serum to sort of lock in the moisture and the product that I’ve applied. I especially love using this at night, when our skin regenerates itself.
Result: When I wake up my skin feels refreshed, so soft and smooth! I also noticed some of my blemishes fades, dry patches around my forehead are getting better, and my foundation applies more smoothly.
BREAKFAST PORRIDGE FACE MASK 30 gr Rp 60.000,-
What it’s for: clear out pores, maintain skin’s elasticity, remove blackheads
What it’s made of: Rhassoul clay, oatmeal, coconut milk
How I use it: following the direction on the packaging, mix one tablespoon of the mask and two tablespoon of water until it gets a bit pasty. Apply the mixture to your face and wait about 10 minutes until the mask gets a bit drier. Rinse with water and scrub the mask away in circular motion, et voila!
Result: Your skin feels really clean, bright and fresh. I personally think this is the best powdered mask I’ve ever tried. It also has a sweet oatmeal-y scent which adds more to the relaxing and fun experience.
ALL-PURPOSE SHEA BUTTER 13 gr Rp 99.000,- (I got this for free using their coupon code on National Online Shopping Day!)
What it’s for: smoothen and soften any part of your body that feels dry
What it’s made of: well, you guessed, shea butter!
How I use it: on my lips, right before I apply makeup. If I’m going to wear matte lipstick or liquid lip, I will make sure I apply this beforehand to keep my lips moisturized and help the lip product glides on smoothly.
Result: I definitely noticed my lips are getting less dry and dead-looking, all thanks to this little jar of shea butter!
That’s my review on The Bath Box products! All in all, I love this brand. It really makes me proud when a local brand comes up with amazing products like these. I recommend you guys check them out, I guarantee you will find something that fits your skin/body/hair needs.
